Prompts by Fandom

The prompts below are intended to serve as inspiration rather than hard requirements! I encourage you to take any of these and run with them in whatever direction sounds interesting to you. You're also welcome to write something else if none of the prompts I list are sparking anything. I'm including a "General Likes" section at the end in case you'd like some extra options.

One Piece Live Action
I'd love anything with the OG three! I'm very partial to a poly romance here, but any interpretation of their relationship is great - romantic, queerplatonic, platonic, etc. I'd also be happy to see different types of relationships among the three characters - e.g. some parts of the triangle could be romantic, while another part could be platonic. All sexuality headcanons are welcome, though I'm especially fond of "everyone is bisexual".

A few ideas:

• A day aboard the Going Merry. Any small moments, casual intimacy, or everyday character interactions would be lovely! Anything that showcases how these three balance each other out and why their relationship works.
• Luffy assumes everyone knows that "join my crew" means "join my polycule". Zoro and Nami have feelings for Luffy, but they missed the whole "crew = polycule" memo, so they think their feelings are unrequited. Shenanigans and misunderstandings ensue.
  • Bonus for Zoro and Nami bonding over their "unrequited" feelings
• Slightly angstier / messier spin on the above - Zoro and Nami love Luffy, but they don't believe he could possibly feel the same way. At some point during their moping, Zoro and Nami hook up. Cue a shitstorm of weird feelings while Luffy wonders why the loves of his life are acting so weird.
• One of the characters is missing/captured, and the other two work together to find them. How does this change their relationship / bring them together?

Only Friends
Queer show of the year!!!! This show has been such a fantastic ride these last few months. I'm SO invested in all the characters and their various interpersonal relationships. I'd love any fic that feeds into that same character-centricness and messy gay energy!

• Boeing - Very interested in Boeing and all the messes he causes. I'd love to see him involved with literally any character in the show + the fallout of that. Also would be cool to see flashbacks / past relationship fic, or even a canon-divergent AU where Boeing shows up sooner.
  
  • Note: When I say any character, I mean ANY character(s). Boeing/Top, Boeing/Mew, Boeing/Sand, Boeing/Sand/Ray... hell, throw him in with Boston and Nick. I think there's a lot of wonderful messy potential in any possible combo.
• Boston/Nick - I'm a bit obsessed with these two disasters who absolutely deserve each other. Would love to see more of their relationship post-show, or whatever else you might like to see with them!
  • Bonus for the two of them teaming up to commit more nasty / messy deeds like we saw with Atom in episode 11. Extra bonus if it also kinda turns them on.
• Fun formats / framing devices - This show uses a bunch of different cool ways to frame episodes. It would be neat to see something like that in a fic! Social media, epistolary, narration, etc. Whatever appeal to you!

Edit: Post-finale thoughts!

• The Boeing/Sand/Ray pool party threesome that never happened. I knew this threesome wasn't going to actually happen... but what if...?
• Boston/Nick alternate ending. I was kind of unsatisfied with how these two ended up. If you'd like to rewrite it, I'd love to read it! A few ideas:
  • A rewrite of the breakup scene where Nick doesn't imply that non-monogamous people shouldn't be in relationships lol
  • A future fic where Nick does eventually move to New York for his animation job, and he and Boston run into each other at a bar and reconnect. Would love some reflection / resolution of that conversation in the finale. Maybe Boston has had other committed relationships since then (romantically exclusive / physically open?). Maybe Nick has met other non-monogamous people too and has a different understanding of that now. I'd love to see this as a "can we start over?" story with a hopeful ending, or even just them being friends.
  • Retcon. What if Nick had been into having an open relationship after all? What if the DTR of "romantically exclusive, physically open" was enough to settle his insecurities? Maybe he likes to watch? Or maybe he likes to have fun too? Kinda wanted to see him and Boston tearing up the gay club every week with their various sexual escapades.
  • Any Boston/Dan/Nick content, especially as inspired by this tumblr post!
• Overall, what if the cast were more comfortable with non-monogamy? How might that change their interactions with each other, especially with Boston? Yes, non-monogamy needs to be negotiated, but what if monogamy wasn't the only way to get a happy ending?
  • I am also still thinking about that Sand/Top kiss imma be real. Unrelated to anything but I just figured it's worth mentioning.

Dangerous Romance
The show has been giving us some snippets of Nawa and Guy's relationship, but anything you'd like to do to expand on it would be lovely! Especially interested in missing scenes or additional relationship development post-canon. I'll add more here when this show officially ends!

Below is a list of a few more general tropes or features I love to see in fic. All of these are optional of course! Please use these as additional inspiration if needed.

• Non-chronological stories / out-of-order storytelling
• "Multimedia" fic, or fic that uses unique formats / framing devices to tell a story. Examples might include epistolary fic, fictional newspaper articles, radio broadcast transcripts, interview transcripts, social media, or blog posts.
  • Note: I do also like chats / text messages in fic, but I'm not a fan of chat fic (where the whole fic is just text messages or chat logs).

• Relationship reveals (e.g. "how X character(s) learn about this relationship...)
• "Unsexy" sex, sex-as-comedy, or sex as a vehicle for demonstrating relationship dynamics, relationship growth, etc,
• ... but also PWP, if you feel so inclined

Final Note
I tend to get very, very busy during the holiday season, so if I don't read or comment on your fic right away, please do not be alarmed! I'm probably just waiting for family stuffy to settle before I sit down and read it :)
